Momentum is Building for 2012

posted Feb 11, 2012 7:44 AM by Gary Bellingtier

We are getting ready for 2012! We have sent the renewal information to the Printers and
anticipate mailing these out by no later than the end of February. We have all but a couple
of the tournaments set and they have been posted on the Schedule section of this Web Site.
########### PLEASE NOTE ALL TOURNAMENTS HAVE A 9:00 START TIME############

Please get your renewals back ASAP, and this year, make a BIG push to sign up a new member for NENSGA. There will be an extra application in every renewal, do not let it go
to waste. This is the best most cost effective way of increasing our Membership. And we all
know that more members mean more flights and better pay-outs. It's your Organization,
make it the best it can possibly be.

We hope to have the rest of the schedule complete by the end of February  also, and will
mail out the entry forms to each member as their renewals are received. Remember, this
year we will be paying 4 additional places in the year long NENSGA SENIOR CUP competition.

The winner will receive $250 plus have his name engraved on the cup
2nd Place will receive $150
3rd Place will receive  $100
4th Place will receive  $ 75
5th Place will receive  $ 50

We are looking forward to a GREAT and COMPETITIVE 2012.

Important info on 2012 season

Your Board of Directors held the 2012 planning meeting and have come up with some
really exciting changes for the 2012 campaign.

First, it has been decided to award cash prizes to 5 places in the NENSGA SENIOR CUP
competition. Starting in 2012, the winner will still receive the $250.00 cash reward, plus
have his name engraved on the Trophy. Listed below is how the payouts will look

1st    $250
2nd   $150
3rd    $100
4th    $75
5th    $50

As in the past, these cash awards will be paid out at the last tournament of the year. We
have also decided against paying Insurance premiums for the hole in one. It was very
difficult to get some of the clubs to follow the requirements and get a witness. So. we have
decided to fund our own hole in one for the tournaments in 2012. Below is how we will handle
this program

1. Will apply to the 1st nine holes only
2. One hole in one per tournament. Have all players in your group sign, date and time.
3.$200.00 pay-out
4. Max of 5 payouts per year
5. Any hole will qualify

We will be starting all tournaments this year at 9:00 am as oppossed to 9:30 AM in the past. Please make a special note of this change!!!!!

We will be sending out renewal letters right after the first of the year, and will highlight these changes in our renewal letter also. We have at least 2 new courses on line for next year, so
please sign up a friend or 2 so we can max out these tournaments and the cash pay-outs.
Please do hesitate to call any of the Directors if you have any questions or suggestions

Really Looking Forward to 2012

Well, our second season is in the books. Dave Claussen took home his second NENSGA
Senior Cup in a row, but it was not determinrd until the last hole was played. Very exciting,
and exactly what we had hoped would happen.Troy put on a Great Tournament in Wayne,
and it is getting to be a must do tournament. The Food, oh my! The hospitality, everthing
Troy does for us, shows that he really enjoys having NENSGA play in Wayne. We will soon
have some Fall meetings to address some needed changes, and to decide the Schedule
for the 2012 Tour. If you have any suggestions, etc. Please contact any of the Directors as
soon as possible and we will discuss your ideas/concerns yet this Fall. I will update this
page as needed through out the Winter. If you get a chance, or know anyone who works
for Faith Regional Rehabilatation 1st Step Clinic, please, please thank them for being our
NENSGA Senior Cup Trophy Sponsor, they have been there for us from day one. Thanks for
a GREAT 2011 Campaign.

Summerland a success, on to the Finale at Wayne !!!

Summerland Golf Course in Ewing was a great venue. The Course was in fantastic shape,
the food was EXCELLENT, and as usual the competition was intense. As predicted, the race
for the NENSGA Senior Cup is going down to the last tournament. We have had 84 members
score points this year, that is truly a testament to the talent we have in our ranks. Wayne
Country Club is our final event on Sept. 12, if you have not sent in your reservation, do so
ASAP. You may call the course to reserve a spot also. This event will decide the Nensga
Senior Cup Champion, and Mr. Beck will have some other surprises for us as well. Your
President, Leroy Hansen, also would like to get our opinions on a few items, so everybody
that can, please attend and have your opinion heard. It has been a truly GREAT year, let's
fill this up and go out with a Bang!! See you in Wayne.

Twin Creeks Golf Course in Pender was another successful track for NENSGA. We had a good
turn out on a wonderful day. The food was great as was the competition. Guys, look at the
point standings! Two tournaments left, and several can still bring home the Cup, this has
been an outstanding campaign!

Next up on next Monday Aug. 29 is Summerland Golf Course in Ewing. This is really in as
good shape as any Course I have seen this year. I was over there today to go over some
things with Doretta  Rowse, our host for the event, and WOW this track is in outstanding
shape. Doretta has a fine meal planned and is awaiting your calls. Let's get on that phone
and fill this one up. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. A very beautiful Course with
shot placement at a premium. Not a long Course, but, think your way around this one. Call
TODAY.

Club 91 in Leigh was a Great Success!!! We had a really good turn out for a new venue.
Maribeth was a great host, and the food was excellent, again! This was a fun and a very
challenging Course to play, and as usual the placings in both flights was very tight.

The NENSGA Cup is truly up for grabs. With 3 tournaments left, any one of 15 or 20 guys
could take this prize to the Bank.

Next up is Pender on Monday the 22nd of August. This is a Course we played last year and
is is really a great Course to play. I am sure this will be bigger and better. The following
Monday, Aug. 29th we will be in Ewing at Summerland Golf Club. If you have not played this
Course, it is a must. I played a tournament there today, and it is FUN! Great shape, and
the greens are in excellent shape. Get your entries in for these 2 events ASAP, let's show
these events what NENSGA can bring to the table.

I will have the up-dated NENSGA Cup Points posted tomorrow, so guys, do the math and
plot your strategy. Any one of 15 or 20 guys can win this prestigious award, but you can't
do it from your armchair recliner!! See you in Pender next week.

Pierce was Great!!!! On to Club 91 in Leigh

posted Aug 3, 2011 8:33 PM by Gary Bellingtier

Another really great tournament at Pierce is in the books. Our best turn out of the year!
How bout them Rib Eyes. Kudos to Mert on providing a great venue, great food, in spite
of his Father having a stroke at the Course the night before. His Father is doing great and
should be out of re-hab in a day or two.

Next up is Club 91 in Leigh. This is a new course for us this year, so get on the phone and
show MariBeth how we can turn out. She has spoken with Humphrey about how they do things, and you know all about what Janet does for us and wow! Good food. The tournament
is Tues. Aug. 9  so get on the phone or send your entries in Today.

I have up-dated the NENSGA CUP Points except for just a few as I ran out of tables. I will
have the Web Master remedy that situation pronto. So, what does that tell us? A lot of us
are placing and moving up the ladder!! Keep shootin Boys, only 4 tournaments left, and
someone is going to add their name and claim the $250.00.

Mert, Here we come, Pierce is next!!!!!

Another great tournament is in the books. North Bend turned out to be an outstanding
venue. The course was really fun to play, and Pete had the course in great shape and
the Flat Iron Steak dinner was just what the Doctor ordered. Again, the competition was
fierce with mere shots separating almost every placing. I have up-dated the NensgaCup
points so you can check out where you sit, and plot your strategy for Pierce.

Mert has a fine Tournament shaping up with flag prizes galore and get this, Rib Eye Steaks
on the barbie!! Get your entries in or call the Course to reserve your spot. This is always a
very competitive tournament with good attendance. The Course is in really Great shape and
is a challenging but fair test. Is this the tournament we finally fill?? Do not wait to find out
and be disappointed. GET THOSE ENTRIES IN TODAY!!!!

ON TO NORTH BEND !!!!!

Quail Run is in the books. This was a really competitive field, again. In the First flight, the
top 11 teams were separated by 2 shots, no kidding!! The top 4 teams in the Second Flight
were separated by 1 stroke!!

Next up is North Bend. This is a really beautiful little 18 hole couse with charming ponds,
large inviting greens, and plays at about 5400 to 5600 yards. A very, very playable course.
It challenges you with decision making( i.e. a 225 yd. par 4 ! ) This will be FUN! The course
is really in great shape and the greens are as good as I have seen this year.

There are only 12 members signed up as of today. Come on Guys, pick up the phone and
call Pete Balerud to sign up today. This is a new course for us this year, Pete wanted NENSGA
real bad, as he had no success trying to get the Eastern Nebr Association to have a tourney
at his Course. Let's show up in their back yard and show our stuff. CALL TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
